Beef Tallow : Medicine For Your Skin

You've probably heard of beef tallow, a popular skincare product that's all the rage right now. But what's the big deal with tallow for skin?

Beef tallow contains fatty acids that closely resemble the oils that are produced by human skin. This makes it one of the best moisturizers for our skincare routine. Perfect for all skin types, it's healing, nourishing and gentle - but effective.

People with acne-prone or oily skin often feel like they should avoid oily products. But this is simply not true. A clean nourishing fat like beef tallow is exactly what our bodies need to purify and feed the skin. Oil cleansing is one of the ways to effectively combat oily skin, which is usually caused when our bodies produce bad oils as a result of not being properly nourished with good oils. So ditch the processed oils, fragrance oils and chemical preservatives, but gently wash and then moisturize with beef tallow.

Rashy, sensitive and problematic skin can also be gently soothed and healed with beef tallow balm. Helpful for eczema, psoriasis and other irritated skin conditions that often stem from the gut, beef tallow provides intense hydration as well as a protective barrier to soothe the irritations.

Try adding a clean grass-fed beef tallow balm into your skincare routine. We like to apply first thing in the morning after facial cleansing, and at night before bed.

Try a few different textures to see which you prefer. Beef tallow lotion (creamy in a pump), beef tallow balm (thicker with beeswax), or whipped beef tallow (a thick whipped cream consistency) are all options. We make ours with pure organic essential oils and minimal added ingredients. Never any chemicals, dyes or fragrance oils.
