4 Ways to Use Essential Oils at Home

A common question that we get asked is, "What do you use essential oils for?"

This post contains some fun and practical ways that we use essential oils in the everyday.

1. DIFFUSE AROUND THE HOUSE. In addition to the wonderful fragrance of essential oils, each oil contains powerful properties that address a wide variety of ailments. Boosting the immune system, lifting the mood, soothing allergies or headaches or cold symptoms...Simply fill the tank with water and add 10 drops of your oil / blend of choice.

2. ADD TO LAUNDRY AND DIY CLEANERS. A couple drops of oil in the washer with your non-toxic laundry soap, boosts the load and provides a fresh clean scent (without chemicals!). We like to add our Wellness Blend or Good Morning Blend to a spray bottle for multi-purpose cleaning spray. The essential oils act as a disinfectant, and fight germs and bad bacteria.

3. USE IN COOKING AND BAKING. Chocolate brownies with a drop of Peppermint oil are one of my guilty pleasures! Use a few drops of Lemon Essential Oil in sugar cookies, or a loaf of pound cake. Add lavender, lime, rosemary, and orange to your everyday baking recipes. A homemade coffee syrup with Lavender Oil and raw honey is excellent! The list is nearly endless. 4. APPLY TOPICALLY FOR AROMATHERAPY. Our essential oil blends come in rollerball bottles, lightly diluted for easy topical application. A little Golden Jojoba Oil carries the oil in without irritation. Essential Oils are absorbed into the bloodstream within 60 seconds, and can cross the blood brain barrier in the brain via aromatherapy. Wearing oils on the neck, wrists or bottoms of the feet is an excellent way to get things healing and improving in the body.
